The LGBT+ in LFC

For LFC’s 2022 Rainbow Laces campaign, as part of her role at Homotopia, Olivia delivered an inclusive campaign with Liverpool Football Club. For the project, the team created a bespoke piece of digital artwork that represents the club’s LGBT+ fanbase. 

The artwork was featured on a billboard situated on the side of The Albert pub in front of the Kop at Anfield and was available to view throughout October. The artwork was also featured as an exhibition in the Anfield LFC retail store for 12 months.

The artwork, which included photographs of LFC’s LGBT+ fans alongside a mixture of illustration and graphic design, was created by local LGBT+ photographer and artists Michael Parry and Margie Houlston. Alongside the artwork the club also hosted an exclusive panel event to discuss the role of LGBT+ supporters and inclusion in football with contributions from Homotopia and The Anfield Wrap.
